Presenting Brooklands, the birthplace of British motor racing and the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit. It was also one of Britain's first airfields and of great historic importance. The Brooklands workshops were home to iconic figures in motoring and aviation history such as Malcolm Campbell, John Cobb, Thomas Sopwith and Barnes Wallis, to name but a few.

Welcome to Donington National

from the master mind we all know and love as Pax-Raider comes yet another hit, Donington National 2007, currently version 0.9. this track is short and fast with plenty of room to play and plenty of room to get into trouble as well. enjoy this gem ... as i know i do!

Having been arguably the third most important UK track behind Silverstone and Brands Hatch, Donington Park has recently staked a claim to becoming the number one - it has won the right to host the British F1 Grand Prix from 2010. Whether the 100 million pounds necessary for the huge improvements needed can still be raised in the current economic climate is another matter.

There are two major circuit layouts used at Donington, the National, and a longer International layout which was created to enable Donington to host the 1993 F1 European Grand Prix. This turned out to be one of Ayrton Senna's most famous victories after the race was held in horrendously rainy conditions. The track released here is the National layout; I plan to offer the International layout as well, which shouldn't be a lot more work because so much of the track is the same.

welcoming another world famous circuit into the redline libraries. slowDan has blessed us all with the release of Thruxton version 0.8. this track is fast, smooth, and devilishly misleading resulting in nothing but fun and chaos! thank you sD, keep it up!

This is my interpretation of the Thruxton circuit near Andover in Hampshire, England. This is the fastest circuit in the UK and almost all the classes that race here have their fastest lap speed recorded at this circuit. However its not just a flat out, foot to the floor track. The complex and the chicane require some precision cornering to make the most of the high speed sections.

Legacy's Redline Plugin Automatic Updater

a huge round of applause and a big thank you is in order to The Snail and Donaemous for this next announcement!

im proud to announce that a legacy updater is now ready for its first public release and testing. we have spent the last few weeks testing and debugging the simple application and feel that its ready for the community's scrutiny. currently at version 0.15, we hope that we have squashed all the known bugs, but the rest is up to you, the community now. please, download the attached link and try out the new updater. please, bare with the bandwidth on legacy, for im sure it will take a huge hit with all the testing throughout the day. and don't forget to comment on the updater via the redline forums ... all comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Safari Rally & Imola come to Redline

yet more dirt and tarmac making their way to our redline libraries. from the developing machines known as pax-raider and goliath-xs come two new power houses of tracks. imola in it's 2006 version busting out on the scene at beta 8 status. safari straight from the mind of goliath-xs is currently at beta 1 status yet is slowly growing into its giant own with every update. needless to say these two tracks will add to the foundation of our favorites.

another update of the wonderful 2007 version of Monza has been released. now at version 0.9.5 the only wonder i have is what else it may need to reach 1.0 status. for all you curb jumping drivers (including myself) there will be no more of that in this release. keeping us strictly on the track has been achieved with the smoother chicanes and curbed turns. enjoy ... and expect a 1961 version to appear soon. thanks pax ;)

many people have asked me the last few weeks when oh when is the updater being released. you will all be happy to know that progress is being made and the project has not been forgotten. LNSU has been hacking away at the application recently and should be done soon. after a final debug and some testing, the application should be complete soon, adding yet another tool against DFMs in-game.

still kicking myself in the arse for missing this post back when redline was last upgraded. for anyone with a logitech controller and a intel mac running 10.4 will be happy to know that you can have your cake and eat it too. with a simple kernel extension you can have your logitech kicking back again. this is the orginal post from the forums quoted ... i have included the link below here for the file. enjoy!

WITH THE "Systems/Library/ExtensionsLogitechForceFeedback.kext" from Leopard installed into 10.4, forcefeedback will work when running the native intel Redline.

FORCEFEEDBACK WILL WORK WITH INTEL ON 10.4

I've added the leopard .kext as an attachment, but if it doesn't work just send one of us a PM

Just unzip it, and drop it into /System/Library/Extensions, and replace the existing LogitechForceFeedback.kext. I recommend backing up your old one first.
